1. The entire Bible, which points to Jesus as the Savior, is the inspired and errorless word of God.

It is God’s message of love and hope for all people.

예수님을 구세주로 가리키는 신구약 성경 전체가 영감을 받고 무오(無誤)한 하나님의 말씀이다.

성경은 하나님이 모든 사람들에게 주시는 사랑과 소망의 메시지이다.


2. There is only one true God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

유일하고 참되신 하나님이 계시며, 이 하나님은 성부 성자 성령 삼위로 존재하신다.


3. God is the creator of everything that exists.

하나님은 존재하는 모든 것의 창조자이시다.


4. Adam and Eve, our first parents, were originally created by God pure and holy.

They lived according to God’s will, doing what was pleasing to Him.

우리의 최초 부모인 아담과 하와는 본래 하나님에 의해 순전하고 거룩하게 창조되었다.

그들은 하나님의 뜻에 따라 살면서 하나님께 기쁨이 되는 일을 행했다.


5. Adam and Eve, the man and woman God created in the beginning, went against God’s will and brought sin into the world.

Since that time, all people have been conceived and born in sin.

하나님이 태초에 만드신 남자와 여자인 아담과 하와는 하나님의 뜻을 거역했으며 죄를 세상에 갖고 왔다.

그 이후 사람은 누구나 죄 가운데 잉태되고 태어난다.


6. Sin is living out of relationship with God, not living according to God’s will, and thus transgressing His holy will in thought, word, and deed.

죄는 하나님과의 관계에서 벗어나 살고 하나님의 뜻에 따라 살지 않으면서 생각과 말과 행동에서 그의 거룩하신 뜻을 위반하는 것이다.


7. People cannot save themselves by their good works or restore themselves to a right relationship with God.

사람들은 자신의 선행으로 스스로를 구원할 수도 없고 하나님과의 바른 관계를 회복할 수도 없다.


8. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world. He is both true God and true man.

He lived to fulfill God’s law for us, died on the cross  to pay the penalty our sins deserved, and rose from the dead

so that we might have eternal life.

He ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of The Father to intercede for us.

하나님은 그의 아들 예수님을 세상으로 보내셨다.

예수님은 참 신이며 또한 참 인간이시다.

그는 우리를 위해 하나님의 율법을 완성하시기 위해 사셨고, 죄 때문에 우리가 받아야 할 벌을 갚기 위해 십자가에 달리시어

우리가 영생을 얻게 하셨다.

그는 하늘로 승천하셔서 지금 아버지의 오른 편에 앉아 우리를 위해 기도하신다.


9. Because of Jesus’ death on the cross, God declares a person just -- or righteous -- and forgiven.

This happens not because of human effort, but because the justification won by Jesus is applied to the one who believes Jesus as Savior.

예수님의 십자가 죽음 때문에 하나님은 사람이 의로우며 죄 사함 받았다고 선언하신다.

이것은 인간의 노력 때문에 일어나지 않고 예수님이 쟁취하신 의가 그를 구세주로 믿는 사람에게 적용된다.


10. Faith in Jesus is a gift of God given by the power of the Holy Spirit, thus all the glory belongs to God.

예수님을 믿는 것은 성령의 능력으로 주어지는 하나님의 선물이다. 그러므로 모든 영광은 하나님께 속한다.


11. The means of grace are the Word, Holy Baptism, and Holy Communion.

By these means, the merits of Jesus’ perfect life and  atoning death are personally conveyed to all who believe in Jesus as their Savior.

은총의 수단들은 말씀과 거룩한 세례와 성찬이다.

이 수단들을 통해 예수님의 완전하신 생과 대속 죽음의 공로가 예수님을 자신의 구세주로 믿는 모든 자들에게 개인적으로 전달된다.


12. Jesus will come again to take all believers to Himself. On the final day, all the dead will be raised.

Those who are still alive will be bodily transformed.

After this, the final judgement will take place.

Unbelievers will go to eternal damnation, and believers into eternal life.

예수님은  모든 신자들을 자신에게로 이끌기 위해 다시 오실 것이다.

마지막 날, 죽은 자들이 모두 부활할 것이다. 아직 살아있는 자들은 육체적으로 변화될 것이다.

이 일 이후, 마지막 심판이 있을 것인데 불신자들은 영원한 정죄로 신자들은 영생으로 들어갈 것이다.


13. The true Christian Church is made up of all believers of all times who believe in the Triune God and in Jesus Christ as their only Savior.

참된 기독 교회는 모든 시대의 모든 신자로 이루어져 있다. 이들은 삼위하나님을 믿고 예수 그리스도를 자신의 유일한 구세주로 믿는다.


14. God wants Christians to join with other believers in churches which correctly teach God’s Word and administers Holy Baptism and

Holy Communion according to the teachings of Scripture.

하나님은 그리스도인들이 하나님의 말씀을 바르게 가르치고 또한 거룩한 세례와 성찬을 성경의 가르침에 따라 집행하는 여러 교회의 신자들과

연결되기를 원하신다.


15. Christians are called to tell others that the only way of salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ, and to show their faith by their deeds

of love towards others.

그리스도인들은 구원에 이르는 유일한 길이 예수 그리스도를 믿는 것이라는 것을 다른 사람들에게 말할 것과 그들의 신앙을 이웃에 대한

사랑의 행위로써 보여줄 것을 부름 받았다.
